Turfites, horse owners and all associated will have to deal with another disappointment after heavy rainfall in the Berbice area left the racetrack at the Rising Sun Turf Club in an unsuitable state for racing and the organisers were forced to postpone the second leg of the Jumbo Jet Thoroughbred Committee first Triple Crown horseracing championships today.
The organisers have informed that rescheduled racing dates will be announced in the coming week.
It was all set for the return of Vera’s Finally and her battle with the likes of Just Call me Boss and Princess she’s not among others, while several top runners were to be on show.
While disappointed, fans will wait for when the action is reset. Trophy Stall and Banks DIH are the major sponsors for the event.
