Seventy-two-year-old Mohan Ramkellowan of South Cummings Lodge, Greater Georgetown, was on Friday last killed in an accident while he was riding his pedal cycle along Dennis Street, Sophia.
According to information, Ramkellowan and the driver of the motor car which struck him were proceeding west along Dennis Street, Sophia when the accident occurred at around 19:30hrs.
Information reaching this publication alleges that Ramkellowan rode into the path of the motor car causing a collision.
He was taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) where he was pronounced dead on arrival. The driver, a 52-year-old resident of Sophia, is in custody assisting with investigation.
