It could have been worse. This truck with rice was heading to the city when at Victoria Village, East Coast Demerara, it reportedly attempted to manoeuver around a minibus badly parked around a bend. It ended up in the GuyOil Gas Station, but not before a number of vehicles were damaged.
A section of the gas station was badly damaged and traffic backed up for two hours as workers scrambled to transfer the rice to another truck. There were no reports of injuries.
