Good Success, Sans Souci Jaguars and G Square Cavaliers recorded victories when the Badri Prasad Memorial T20 competition continued recently in Wakenaam.
Good Success defeated Zeelandia by eight wickets at the Wakenaam Community Centre ground. Batting first, Zeelandia were bowled out for 94 in 17.2 overs. Yogesh Persaud made 41 as Vickram Ramnarine grabbed 3-16, Imran Khan 2-7 and Wazir Khan 2-28. Good Success responded with 97-2. Charles Benjamin scored 36 not out, Tulsieram Ramadeen 18 and Mahase Ramnarine 15.
Sans Souci Jaguars beat Noitgedacht Sports Club by 69 runs. Sans Souci Jaguars took first strike and managed 162-7. Derwin Daniels struck 37, Dellon Osbourne 23 and Sanjay Jairam 22. Neil Ramalho claimed 3-35. Noitgedacht Sports Club were sent packing for 93 in reply. Matthew Cheong made 25; Daniels captured 4-9 and Jairam 3-2 including a hat-trick.
G Square Cavaliers overcame Sans Souci by seven wickets. Sans Souci scored 122 all out in 20 overs, taking first turn at the crease. Cleon Venture made 29 and Derwin Bacon 18; Satnarine Sahadeo bagged 4-25 and Jaggernauth Manbodh 2-19. G Square Cavaliers replied with 123-3 in 18 overs. Manbodh stroked 48 and Kamal Khan 44. Varounie Sasepaul had 1-28.
The competition continues on Sunday.
