President’s Guard defeated Tactical Service Unit by 9 wickets when the Guyana Police Force (GPF) Commissioner of Police Inter Division Department T20 Tournament continued yesterday at Eve Leary.
Tactical Service Unit (TSU) batted first and posted 144-4 off 20 overs. Ricardo Adams made 39, Danesh Gopaul 34, Gashwar Jagnarine 27 and Eon Rodrigues 25. Paul Tyndell had 2-10. President’s Guard responded with 145-1 in 13.2 overs. Tyndell struck 61 not out and Kevin Allicock 57.
Headquarters trounced E-Division by 167 runs in their encounter. Headquarters took first strike and managed 231-3 with Munilall Persaud slamming 81, Khanhadia Ramkarran 77 and Safraz Haniff 21.
E-Division were sent packing for 64. Satouham Sukhdeo got 24 and Lawrence Seares 15; Stephen Harris grabbed 4-4 and Kevon Boodie 3-7. G-Division scored 194-5 taking first strike against Officers.
Fazil Khan slammed 71 and Linden David 39. Officers replied with 156-9. Colin Sullivan made 45 and Jermain Neblette 24; Shakel Vyphius claimed 3-27. C-Division batted first and made 134-8 with Roncy Caleb scoring 66 and Griseon Grant 20; Clain Dhanraj snared 3-8 and Fazeer Khan 3-19.
G-Division scored 133-7 in reply. Khan slammed 46 as Stephon Johnson, Jermain Tyndall and Esan Hardyen picked up two wickets each. G-Division scored 129-9. Clain Dhanraj made 25 and Shakel Vyphius 22; Pernell London took 3-20 and Zane London 2-13.
President’s Guard responded with 130 without loss. Paul Tyndell stroked 69 and Kevin Allicock 55. F Division took first knock and posted 152-8. Brandon Frank made 36, Lennox Andres 30 and Shiveshwar Sankar 29. Troy Benn claimed 3-19 and Stephen Harris 2-21.
Head Quarters replied with 154-4 in 16.4 overs. Kevon Boodie slammed 85; Trevor Benn had 2-36. The competition continues today.
