Twenty-seven-year-old Paul McKenzie appeared in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court before Judge Fabayo Azore on Wednesday for stealing $3240 worth in stocks.
It is alleged that on April 7, last, at the Regent Street, Bounty Supermarket, Paul stole one tin of milk valued $240 and a Gillette shaving set worth $3,000.
The defendant pleaded for a reasonable bail since his family died in Bartica where he is from, and he is alone. He cried that he lives in a hammock and pushes cart to make a living.
The prosecutor offered no objection to bail being granted. Bail was set at the sum of $5,000 and the matter adjourned to April 18, 2018.
