The long awaited semifinals of the Corona Cup futsal tournament will kick off tonight at the National Gymnasium on Mandela Avenue where the final two teams who will contest for the $600,000 1st prize will be decided.
There will be four exhibition matches played before the first semi-final between Alpha Warriors and Leopold Street at 22:30hrs followed by the Bent Street versus Sparta Boss’ second semi-final match which kicks off at 23:15hrs.
Tonight, the teams will receive their cash prizes for their respective finishes during the group stage with the winners’ pocketing $40,000, second place $30,000, third place group finishers $20,000 and last place finishers of the four-team groups that contested round-robin play receiving $10,000.
In addition, one Hero 150cc motorcycle will be given away to a lucky fan tonight.
The runners up will pocket $400,000 and third place finishers $200,000 in the tournament which is sponsored by Top Brandz, Rose Ramdehol Auto Sales and Namilco.
