The Kaieteur News, for reasons best known to it, has stopped publishing my letters. While I do respect the paper’s right to publish or not to publish, I am disappointed that the paper, which claims to encourage pluralism and diversity has opted to shut out views and opinions that may not coincide with that of its editor.
I do not believe that it is the editorial policy of the paper not to publish such letters. I rather think it is the deliberate attempt of one particular person who I understand has control of the letters column.
I respectfully wish to suggest that the Management of the paper takes a closer look at the letters column.
As I wrote in an earlier letter, in the marketplace of ideas, let a thousand ideas bloom!

Editor’s Note: We have never stopped publishing Mr. Hydar Ally’s letters. Mr. Ally is also incorrect is suggesting that there is “an individual” who has control of our letters column.
