The West Indies Cricket Board should step down
Dear Editor,
Our own, West Indies men’s cricket team, is a multi-national cricket team, representing the Caribbean Region and administered by Cricket West Indies. The official International Cricket Council (ICC) rankings of West Indies, dated 18th March, 2018,as follows;- Test 8th, ODI’s 9th , T20’s 5th and from 1970 – 1990, the West Indies team was the strongest in the world.
Today, a large number of West Indies cricket supporters have called it a day. It is because, the last twenty-five years or more, performance continues to decline and the root problems, is within the administrators.
A tour was confirmed well in advance with West Indies and Pakistan, scheduled to start in Karachi yesterday and continuing on 2nd, 3th of April, 2018. In the Caribbean, the tour became silent and no team has been selected, because the key players, opted out for security reasons.
Only on Thursday 29th of March, 2018, a team had been selected. This is gross disrespect to the now hold-on West Indies Cricket fans. I say openly to Mr.Dave Cameron and others, it is time for you all to demit office.
