Bhojnarine Lallbachan grabbed two wickets and returned to hit a top score of 30 while Corwin Austin hit an unbeaten 28 to guide ‘D’ Division to a 7-wicket victory over ‘B’ Division when the Guyana Police Force (GPF), Commissioner of Police Inter-Division and Department T20 tournament continued yesterday at Police Sports Club, ground, Eve Leary.
‘B’ Division batted first and lost the wickets of Philbert Wilburg (08), Hazlim George (01), Rondy David (01) and Kedar Amsterdam (14) with the score on 32-4. They never recovered from this position and were bowled out for 86 in 11.4 overs.
Carlyle Austin top scored with 16 as David Huge claimed 3-18, Lallbachan 2-9 and Deron Archer 2-25. In reply, ‘D’ Division lost Jason Anderson (00) and Denry Henry (09) to be at 32-2 before Lallbachan and Austin took them within sight of victory, adding 43 for the third-wicket. Lallbachan hit three fours and two sixes before he was caught at mid-off for 30 while Austin slammed six fours in his unbeaten 28 as ‘D’ Division ended on 87-3 in 13.4 overs.
