The Guyana Football Federation’s (GFF) Elite League Season Three continues this evening at the Georgetown Football Club (GFC) ground with a double header from 18:00hrs. The first match will be competed between the confident New Amsterdam United which won their maiden game against Linden’s Milerock last weekend and second placed Western Tigers.
Western Tigers are second on the table with 13 points trailing first placed and defending champions, Guyana Defence Force (GDF) FC only on goal difference. The Ruimveldt based unit will definitely be looking for a big win against the weaker Berbice boys tonight.
The feature match of the evening kicks off at 20:00hrs and will cater for a mouthwatering affair between third placed Fruta Conquerors FC and the dejected Milerock FC of Linden that is languishing on the bottom half of the points table with three points from five games, a solitrtary win and four losses.
The last time Fruta Conquerors were at the GFC ground on February 25th, they defeated the then high flying Victoria Kings 2-0 and this team which has been in the league since its inception will be looking for a much bigger win against newcomers Milerock.
Meanwhile, the league will continue on Sunday with another doubleheader, this time at the GDF ground. The first match will see West Demerara’s Den Amstel matching skills with Victoria Kings from 17:30hrs. The feature match blows off at 19:30hrs and will be competed between league leaders and home side GDF and East Demerara’s, Buxton United.
Admission to all matches is $500 but children Under-12 and women will be admitted free.
