Guyanese amateur standout boxers Colin ‘Superman’ Lewis and Keeve Allicock are in Tijuana, Mexico ready for action sometime today in the Central American and Caribbean (CAC) games qualifiers being staged there.
The pair of fighters along with Coach Terrence Poole is looking to qualify for the CAC. They have been impressive of recent and will look to take things a notch higher and overcome sterner competition than in the Caribbean.
Both boxers will box in the quarter-finals today with Lewis down to fight Carlos Tobar of Guatemala and Allicock taking on the winner of the bout between fighters from Panama and Barbados. All Guyana are rooting for the pair to qualify in impressive fashion.
The 2018 CAC games will be hosted in Barranquilla, Columbia from July to August.
