The perception that crime is still high in Guyana is forcing the police to be more on the alert. Indeed the pressure on the criminals in the city exposed the situation in the eastern part of the country. That situation has caused the police to strengthen their operation with the result that within hours they are going to cause even more grief to some people who target the Canje area in Berbice.

The fires are back. The Guyana Fire Service would be called on to spring into action again, this time on the western side of the country. Carelessness would be the cause.

The criticisms of the oil contract would see another comment calling for a renegotiation of the contract. However, this call would be more emotional than hopeful. The caller would be one of those who have kept repeating the same thing.
But another critic would recant, having been made to recognize that the oil find would have benefits.
