The organisers of the Jumbo Jet Thoroughbred Racing Committee Triple Crown Horseracing Championships, which was set to commence last Sunday at the Rising Sun Turf Club, has decided to cancel the leg altogether due to no other available race dates being available.
Heavy rain over last weekend left the Rising Sun Turf Club racetrack in a soggy state and unfit for racing.
Organiser Junior Mohamed informed Kaieteur Sport of the cancellation and pointed out that the next two legs will be held as scheduled with the second event on April 1st at Port Mourant and the 3rd and final race in the series fixed for April 29th again at Rising Sun Turf Club.
Contact can be made with Chandu Ramkissoon: 624-9063/608-9

Meanwhile, the next scheduled horseracing event on the calendar is the Kennard Memorial Turf Club annual Phagwah Race meet on March 18 at Bush Lot Farm, Corentyne, Berbice. Entries for that event will close next Sunday and no late entries will be accepted.
