Sponsor of the East Bank Football Association Under-11 League, USA based Ralph Green on Tuesday evening last made a presentation of equipment to the Diamond Upsetters Football Club at the Diamond Community Center ground.
Green, who was on a short visit home said that he was impressed with the commitment and desire of the young Diamond Upsetters club which ended fourth in the just concluded 2017 edition of the U-11 League.
Diamond Upsetters’ goalkeeper, Joshua Dias was named the Best Goalkeeper of the League. Club President Andre Fortune in accepting the gifts on behalf of his club expressed gratitude to Green for the timely donation.
Fortune said that the club will ensure that the equipment is cared for and would be used to enhance the development of the players by Coach, Kevin Padmore Snr.
“Our club is heartened by this donation from you Mr. Green, it will go a long way in encouraging the players to work even more hard to develop and excel in the sport. We wish you God’s continued blessings and would also like to commend you for sponsoring the Under-11 competition which is the first competition we have competed in as a club.”
Green wished the club continued success and has promised to continue looking out for the club by making more donations in the future. The equipment received included shin guards, two sets of bibs, two sets of cones as well as a soccer clipboard board for the coach and a fox40 whistle.
