The President, Executives Committee and Members of the Berbice Cricket Board is offering congratulations to the Management and Members of the Berbice Under-15 Team on winning the Guyana Cricket Board Inter-county Championship. The victory represents the start of a long road to restoring Berbice Cricket to its rightful place a release from the board informed.
‘The Berbice Cricket Board salutes the Management Team of Manager Latchman and Coach Leslie Solomon who both did an excellent job in getting the team to glue together. Congratulations are also extended to Man of the Finals and the Tournament’s Most Valuable Player, Jonathan Rampersaud for his outstanding all round performance. The Berbice Cricket Board is very proud of each one of our boys for not only on the field performance, but also their personal discipline and commitment. The support of the parents of the cricketers has also been overwhelming and the Berbice Cricket Board salutes them while looking forward to working along with them in the future.’
The newly elected Berbice Cricket Board Executives is committing itself to working hard every day to make sure that each one of their players fulfills their full potentials on and off the cricket field. 2018 would be an exciting year for junior cricketers in Berbice with the hosting of several cricket tournaments at the Inter-club level, while numerous off the field programmes would be organised to aid in their personal development. The Berbice Cricket Board later this week would honour the entire team and Management in a fitting way, while the Berbice Most Valuable Player Award Scheme would once again be implemented.
