Patentia Secondary defeated L’ Adventure Secondary by 67 runs when the National Sports Commission Al Sport and Sport Forbes Burnham Foundation 27th annual Easter Term Secondary Schools Windball Cricket tournament continued recently.
Playing in the female category, Patentia Secondary batted first and scored 130-2 off five overs with Qwedada Fraser scoring 88 not out with 12 sixes, the highest individual score so far in this year’s tournament.
L’Aventure Secondary in reply were restricted to 63-3, Abigail Corbin made 26. Sasha Persaud had 2- 12.
Debutant La Grange Primary School managed 120-1. Vasantie Kishore made 50 (7x6s) and Tesa Mc Donald 44. Debutant West Demerara Secondary responded with 117 without loss; Bacafina Bodh struck 69.
L’Aventure Secondary scored 85-2 from a reduced quota of four overs. Shakira La Cruz made 31 not out and Lashuna Whyte 22. Debutant Goed Fortuin Primary replied with 84 without loss. Tilleyciha Forde got 42.
In the male category, Goed Fortuin scored 64-3. Emanuel Daniels made 35 and Calton Kingston 19. West Demerara Secondary responded with 66-2; Christopher Rambarose made 37 and Christopher Gurdyal 18.
La Grange posted 101-4 batting first. Kenzie Felix slammed 47 not out and Andy Charran 19. Tojay Ragnauth had 2-15. L’Aventure responded with 104-2. Johanathan Samaroo struck 44, Vishal John 20 and Jagdesh Ramdeholl 18.
Patentia Secondary rattled up104 without loss taking first strike. Marieram Singh stroked 52 and Imanuel Benn 45. Goed Fortuin replied with79-2. Satesh Persaud made 23and Sherwin Gravesande 16.
