Prime Minister and First Vice President, Moses Nagamootoo, has been discharged from the hospital, four days after successful heart bypass surgery and is undergoing rehabilitation.
“Prime Minister Nagamootoo’s progress is steady and he is scheduled for further examinations in the coming days,” the Ministry of the Presidency said last evening.
Nagamootoo, on February 12, last, underwent heart by-pass surgery in the United States of America where the medical procedure was completed successfully.
“The Prime Minister expresses his personal gratitude to President David Granger and the Ministers of Government, and all those who expressed wishes of support.”
The PM reportedly found some serious issues during a medical checkup in Guyana recently, necessitating him to immediately schedule the heart bypass operation and travel to the US.
