Khouri returned as GKF President following Biennial General Meeting
Amir Khouri was returned as President of the Guyana Karate Federation (GKA) when the body held its Biennial General Meeting on Sunday afternoon last at the YMCA, Thomas Lands.
Affiliated Associations attending the meeting were the Association do Shotokan Karate – Guyana (YMCA Dojo), Shotokan Karate-Do of Guyana (Shokoguy\National Park Dojo), Berbice Shotokan Karate Dojo, National Martial Arts Association, National Shito-Ryu Karate Association and 3 Ryu Karate Club.
The other members of the executive elected to serve for the next two (2) years are Roger Peroune – First Vice President, Keith Beaton – Second Vice President, Ms. Bernice Irving – Secretary, William Grant – Treasurer and Bhagwandin Persaud who will serve as Assistant Secretary/Treasurer.
Performing duties as the Returning Officer was Former GOA Secretary General and now an Honorary Member of the body, Ivor O’Brien.
