Dear Sir,

I’m the least of all persons that wasn’t infuriated by the comment emanating from the United States 45th democratically elected President, Donald Trump, referring to Haitian and African Countries as “shitholes”.
Definitely, I’m not surprised since within his campaign speeches, Trump, had vowed to make “America, great again”. But in reality he simply meant “white again”
Today, the U.S.A stands out as the world’s only empire. The bastion of democracy and freedom of speech; despite the fact, it can be hate-filled and create further ethnic divisions and mistrust. But like all empires before her that fell, America’s turn is coming.
“Babylon, the great, thou has fallen” fulfilling God’s prophecy. By her own hands she will self destruct, expedited by Trump, the world’s shortest reigning empire.
Sir, with all due respect to Trump, his campaign theme, white supremacy, racial overtones, racial slurs, mudslinging and possible lynching’s can all be expected, in due course. That the world’s greatest superpower as World police, largest economy, military might and an uncompromising bully is unmatched, in the following–largest consumer of illicit drugs, genetically modified foods and medications; military hard and software; weapons of mass destruction and drug cheats, in sports with the late:Flo Jo, Lance Armstrong and Justin Gatlin to name a few.
Least, before I forget there is the exportation of germicidal warfare, as diseases and viruses “for trials by error, in shithole African countries, along with Haiti”.
What does make America, not a “shithole” country, but a “hellhole”? AIDS, Cholera, Ebola Virus and Herpes are just a few that readily come to mind. Consider the abolition of slavery, with freed slaves being transported back to an African landmass now named Liberia! Additionally, there was the pilferage of “art and craft from Haiti, on a daily basis amounting to US$1 million. The “white supremacists” of the USA, have even resorted to religion to sow ethnic fear and division. Evangelist John Hagee discriminates against Islam and Muslims. Previously, a preacher had burned the Koran.
But America of all countries is indebted to Black Muslims, who toiled laboriously to make it the great nation, it is today.
A timely reminder, “drug trafficking by the CIA, funded the Contras against FARC, in Colombia, a few decades ago.
Is there any international organization that is invited to monitor national elections, in America and subsequentely declare it as being free and fair, devoid of racial overtones with no evidence of ballot paper tampering?
What of a former Democrat presidential candidate a few years ago, who many persons thought they were voting for but it ended up as their vote going to the Republican. In actuality why does the might of America, intervene into the political affairs of “shithole” countries and install governments of their choice; embracing dictatorships?
In the words of the late legendary, King of Reggae, Bob Marley, and Steel Pulse from their respective songs. “Africa unite, were moving right out of Babylon. I curse the day, they made us slaves, and how can we sing the Lord’s song in a strange land; liberation through democracy, one God, one Aim, one Destiny”.
Persons of African ancestry must reject skin bleaching, same sex marriage and homosexuality which were never known before in shithole countries, in “Africa”. Why must one defy the symbol of creation “the potter moulding clay” and straighten one’s nose to look white? Meanwhile in Guyana, another shithole country, the concept of divide and rule, ethnic insecurity, racial overtones and discrimination must cease forthwith.
In “unity there is strength” and we must all strive collectively to accomplish, becoming each other’s keeper, irrespective of race, colour or creed.
After 51 years of (In)dependence must ethnicity along political lines remain the “thin line between love and hate”? Would an Indo Guyanese Muslim or Christian, refuse to subscribe to the respective religious teaching, if the laypersons respectively are Afro Guyanese, or vice-versa?
