Dear Sports Editor,
I hope that this article makes into your newspaper. I Andy Medas-King am in full support of T. Pemberton that our only Olympic Medalist Michael Parris should be the Flag bearer at the 2020 Olympics. I hope that T. Pemberton saw me Andy Medas-King on the Basil Bradshaw show honoring Mr. Michael Parris for being our only Olympic Medalist and my kids and wife was able to meet this great athlete from Guyana and with the hope of his success rubbing off on my two daughters so that they can grow up and become an Olympic Medalist also.
Well if T. Pemberton missed that presentation on the wake up Guyana show or never heard of Andy Medas-King before, for the records you can watch back the video on YouTube by typing in Michael Parris being honored by Medas-King and Family. It was also great to know from that day on Channel 9TV that Mr. Parris is now involved in boxing and is doing great things at least someone listen.
So to throw my support behind this venture of him being the flag bearer for the 2020 Olympic Games would only put him where he should be, leading Guyana from the front and maybe that would break the jinx and we might be able to come away with an Olympic medal.
Thanks T. Pemberton for your vision, it could be realized only if the GOA put it in place and we are hoping this can happen.
Andy Medas-King.
