A distraught father is appealing to the public at large to help him find his 16-year-old daughter who went missing since Monday.
Crystol Muss, 16, of 73 Self Help, Amelia’s Ward, left home on Monday morning for school but never reached her destination. She was last seen wearing a grey pleated skirt, white shirt, black shoes and black socks.
She is fair complexioned and attends Linden Foundation Secondary School.
According to her father, Andrew Muss, who is a single parent, she left for school on Monday morning and never returned home. Muss said he visited the school and was told that she was absent for a while from school.
“When I went to the school to find out if she was in school that day, I was told by the teachers that they don’t know when last they saw her in school. Every day she leaves home to go to school.”
Muss said that this is not the first time his daughter went missing; two years ago, she left and returned the next night but now he is worried sick as to where his daughter could be.
He said he was told that she was seen in the company of an overseas-based young man who is holidaying. She was also seen on Tuesday in the vicinity of the school with her uniform but she was not present in school.
Crystol Muss’s aunt, Maureen, is saddened by the fact that her niece was absent from school and the teachers never once called to find out why she was absent because then they would have known that she is not attending school.
She also is very upset with the way the police handled the situation because according to her, the female corporal sat in an office and shouted from there to her and her brother that they haven’t seen her as yet.
“So unprofessional, she was rude and uncouth.”
Andrew Muss is appealing to anyone who has seen her to kindly make contact with the nearest police station or call 601–9964, 639–3982 or 680–0292.
