Dear Editor,
There is no denying that Guyana is a disunited country in desperate need for uniting through reconciliation.
One possible way for this to happen is for the current APNU+AFC Leaders to do a reverse takeover of the PPP. This would mean sacrificing the PNC, APNU and AFC and keeping the PPP. Some of the Leaders in the PPP would need to willingly step aside to allow this merger. There is a lot that the PPP can learn about governance from the APNU+AFC government.
Doing it this way allows the vast majority of interests to be catered for and we are not getting rid of the PPP; just changing the PPP into a more democratic organization.
The whole idea is to seek political unification and then to unite the Guyanese people. The other option would be for a grass root NGO to take the initiative. Either way would work. Anyone got any alternative/s?
Yours Faithfully
Sean Ori
