Dear Editor,
Please allow me this opportunity to express heartfelt congratulations to two public officials who have impressed me with their sincere and efficient approach towards the management of their respective organisations.
Often times we are most critical of public officers and how ineffectively they carry out the functions in the administration of their entities.
It therefore affords me great pleasure to compliment Mr. Godfrey Statia, Commissioner General of the Guyana Revenue Authority, and Dr. Richard Van West Charles CEO of the Guyana Water Inc. on the exemplary exhibition of honest, efficient and effective management of their respective institutions.
In my opinion these gentlemen have demonstrated a high level of efficiency, improved consumer confidence and overall functioning in the entities they manage.
Other organisations’ leadership must endeavor to emulate the efforts of these two officials and thereby improve on the performance of their own organizations so that we can collectively take Guyana forward.
