DEAR EDITOR,
I have been a user of GTT’s DSL service for the past three years. I pay a monthly fee of $6000 for this service which is supposed to allow me to enjoy internet speed of one Mbps. Sorry to say that the speed of my service seldom exceeds 0.25Mbps, and this has been my experience for several months.
My question is: Why I am required to pay for 1 Mbps service when what is provided is about a quarter of the contract speed? I feel that GTT is using its monopoly position to exploit its customers.
The Government should take urgent measures to terminate this monopoly and allow others to compete in this market. Further, I feel this is a matter which the Public Utility Commission should examine to end this egregious exploitation of consumers.
