It is the only exclusive doubles tournament on the GTA calendar and is an opportunity for seasoned doubles players to take part in one of the most intense forms of the game, which entails a battle of skills, power and excellent hand work at the net.
Trophy Stall has been a valued partner in keeping this form of the game alive and this will be the last tournament for the year on the association’s calendar. The categories to be contested are Men’s Doubles, Ladies Doubles, Mixed Doubles and Men’s Over 45 Doubles.
Proprietor of Trophy Stall, Ramesh Sunich, reflected on the support received from the tennis community for many years. Last year, Sunich recognised the state of play tennis is currently facing with the association continuing to work with degrading facilities but players brave the circumstances to have fun and engage in battle for the titles.
This year will showcase high drama and battles as players contend in the last tournament of the year to finish the season strong in hopes of securing their spot at the top of the ranking table. The tournament Coordinator is Shelly Daly. All games will be played at the National Racquet Centre and Le Resouvinir.
