Outstanding performances by Mark Fung and Nigel Prabudial spearheaded Tourist XI to consecutive victories when the Rafman Ally 15-over softball tournament continued on Sunday last at Success ground, East Coast Demerara.
Tourist XI defeated Fabulous XI by 93 runs. Batting first, Tourist XI managed 165-5. Hackim Majeed stroked 52 and Sham Boodram 44; Brandon Zambia had 3-34. Fabulous XI were bowled out for 72 in 9.3 overs in reply. Fung grabbed 5-8.
Tourist XI beat Accomplishment by 134 runs. Tourist XI batted first and scored 185 all out in 14.4 overs. Fung made 58 while Suraj Tagaram contributed 44. Prakash Tagaram had 2-45. Accomplishment were bowled out for 51 in 11 overs in reply. Nigel Prabudial bagged 5-8 and Michael Tikaram 3-8.
Fabulous XI overcame Accomplishment by 93 runs. Fabulous XI took first strike and posted 218-7. Stephon Felix slammed 87 while Bharat Singh made 85. Accomplishment were sent packing for 125 in 12.4 overs in reply. Felix claimed 4-24.
The competition continues on Sunday.
