Everest Cricket Club Masters defeated the visiting Guyana UK Cricket Club by six wickets in a T20 fixture played on Friday last at Everest.
Steady bowling by the home team restricted the visitors, who batted first, for 109-8. Navin Persaud struck three fours and two sixes in a top score of 65, while Raj Nanan made 16. Off-spinner Rohan Sarjoo claimed 3-18 and Johnny Azeez 2-21.
Everest Masters responded with 111-4. Opener Sahadeo Hardaiow made 36 which included three fours and one six, while Troy Gonsalves got 37 (3×4, 1×6). Persaud returned to take 2-23 to claim the man-of-the-match trophy; Everest Masters presented the visitors with a plaque in recognition of their tour, both prizes were sponsored by Trophy Stall, Bourda Market.
The Guyana UK CC handed over a quantity of gears, balls and a clock to the Everest CC.
