Dear Editor,
In case anyone hasn’t noticed, there is a new dramatic series underway at City Hall, their version of ‘Sex and the City’ one which may be deserving of an Academy Award. At the very least, awards should be given out to the ‘King’ as the Best Actor in a Leading Role, to the Queen of the City as the Best Actress in a Supporting Role, to the former Deputy Mayor as the Best Director, to the Head of the Constabulary as the Best Producer of a Sex Comedy, and to the sex offending Lance Corporal for providing the Best Live Action for Short Film.
The administrators of the Georgetown City Council must be creating a headache for the organisers of ‘No Big Ting’, ‘Stretched Out Magazine’ and The Link Show’ as they have to be deluged with material from the Council and would be hard pressed to leave space in their programmes for other topical issues.
How and why the police have not marched in and arrested the Mayor, Town Clerk, Legal Affairs Committee and indeed all of the Councillors is beyond me. Do they have some type of immunity from prosecution for covering up the carnal culture at City Hall? City Hall is a rogue organisation that is answerable to no one, makes up and lives by its own rules, and could not care less about public opinion.
Children ought not to go anywhere close to City Hall or any other municipal location, as they would be doing so at their own risk and are unlikely to get justice from the administrators of the City Council should anything happen to them. Let us hope that this year, no children’s Christmas parties are held by the Council, as I will have to send my children with the same number of bodyguards that the King and Queen use to take with them around the City.
