Proceeds from the race meeting will go towards charity including the funding of a playground at the Ryan Crawford Memorial Turf Club and Sports Complex. He stated that in the past the facilities were made available for church fellowship and sporting events. The goal is to make it accessible once again.
The group, which has been feeding kids at a nearby primary school, will also use some of the fund garnered to continue that programme. They are also expected to assist kids with gifts during the Christmas season.
