Dear Editor,
If the Georgetown city councilors were worth their salt, they would send home all of the senior administrators that were involved in some way or the other with regard to the depraved sexual act that was committed by a City Constable on a hapless juvenile.
Starting with the official who brought this Lance Corporal back to the job and had him reemployed after he was dismissed for engaging in a similar depraved sexual act should be held responsible for what happened to this latest victim. The puerile excuse that he was not charged due to a lack of evidence and therefore should be reemployed is immoral.
The City Constabulary in employing law enforcement officers should ensure that they do not exhibit any type of mental or behavioral disorder, should be emotionally stable and capable of exercising good judgment. Persons who display addictive behavior patterns are not good candidates for a law enforcement career.
The administrative officer who was responsible for having this officer remain on duty since the incident occurred, hiding him at remote locations rather than having him interdicted, should be sent home. That person is in collusion with the sexual deviant. The persons who deliberately had this investigation drag on by failing to submit reports in a timely manner or at all, who refused to call in the national police for more than two months, and the administrator who has equated the level of misconduct committed by the two constables one for failing to simply make a diary entry as opposed to the other far more grave act of sexually molesting a juvenile by firing them, both are just disgusting and should be fired himself.
