The 13th edition of the annual Hand in Hand Mutual and Fire Insurance Company National Park Cycle Meet is ready for takeoff this Saturday at the nations #1 outdoor, all weather track.
The marquee event on the cards is the schoolboys and invitational 35-lap race which was won last year by Hamza Eastman in One Hour 17 Minutes 02.16 Seconds. Another much looked forward to event will be the junior/juvenile 10-lap contest, which saw Dwayne Gibbs Jnr. taking the top podium spot last year in 24 Minutes 24.16 Seconds.
The veteran under and over-45 winners in 2016 were Jaikarran Sukhai and Andrew Spencer respectively, while Stephen Gobin took the mountain bike race, all three races will be contested over 5-laps.
The usual BMX races targeting youngsters from ages six to fourteen are also slated with the first event to pedal off at 09:00hrs in the Hassan Mohamed M.S, organized event.
