Off-spinner Gajanan Suknanan grabbed 6-27, but leaders Essequibo are ahead by 40 runs against Georgetown when the fourth round of the Cricket Guyana Inc Jaguars three-Day Franchise League commenced yesterday.
Batting first at Tuschen, Georgetown were sent packing for 117 in 39 overs with Robin Bacchus scoring 34 and Steven Sankar 22. Left arm spinner Anthony Adams took 4 for 33; Keemo Paul claimed 3-29 and Ricardo Adams 3-38.
In reply, Essequibo managed 170 all out in 51.4 overs. Ricardo Adams led with 44, while Keemo Paul made 43, Kemol Savory 33 and Kevin Boodie 22. Ramaal Lewis, Kellon Carmichael, Steven Sankar and Christopher Barnwell supported Suknanan with one wicket each.
Batting a second time Georgetown were 13 without loss at stumps.
Play resumes today at 09:00 hours.
