A security guard was ordered yesterday to post $300,000 bail after she was arraigned before Principal Magistrate Judy Latchman in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts to answer to two charges of fraudulent conversion.
Denise Lovell, 46, of Lot 78 Norton Street, Lodge denied the first charge which alleged that between February 1 and June 30, last, at Georgetown while being solely entrusted by Rhonda James with $125,000 to deposit into the victim’s New Building Society savings account, she fraudulently converted the money to her own use.
It was further alleged that between November 1, last year and June 30, last, at Georgetown while being solely entrusted by Rhonda James with $320,000 to deposit into the victim’s New Building Society savings account, she fraudulently converted the money to her own use and benefit.
Police Prosecutor, Shawn Gonsalves had no objection to bail being granted to the defendant.
The mother of three was ordered to post $150,000 bail on each of the two charges.
She was instructed to make her next court appearance on September 25.
