The second edition of ‘Stage of Champions’ Bodybuilding, Miss Bikini and Men’s Physique competition which is set for November 18 at Theater Guild in Kingston had gained the support of Space Gym.
Managing Director of the Gym, Lucas Matos yesterday presented a cheque to organiser of the event Videsh Sookram who expressed gratitude to him for their support. Athletes from Guyana, St. Maarten (French and Dutch), Trinidad and Tobago, Anguilla, Suriname, Barbados and Curacao will vie for supremacy in the Under-143 lbs, Under-154lbs, Under-164lbs, Under-176lbs and over 177lbs categories.
Sookram said that the event is expected to attract 42 athletes and 29 have already confirmed their participation. Sookram informed that registration will be closed on October 15 and interested athletes can contact him on 649 9446 or 662 0389 while email can be sent to [email protected].
Matos said he is pleased to partner with Sookram for the event and is looking forward to a successful one. At the inaugural competition which was held in 2016, Koese Soese of Suriname emerged as the overall champion; Guyanese Emmerson Campbell captured the Men’s physique and Militia Gilimo of Suriname claimed the Miss Bikini title.
