The Guyana Power and Light is moving ahead steadily with its Power Utility Upgrade Programme (PUUP) as bids for Lot B of the project were opened yesterday at the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board (NPTAB), in the compound of the Ministry of Finance.
Bids were also opened for the Rehabilitation of the Ministry of Public Health’s Head Office on Brickdam, Georgetown.
Bids for four projects under the Ministry of Education were opened yesterday. These concern the construction of a multi-purpose court at the Bartica Community Centre, the rehabilitation of the Kuru-Kuru Cooperative College in Manchester, Berbice, phase three of construction works to Sophia Training Centre and the construction of the South Stand to the existing Basketball Court at the Bartica Community Centre.

Bids were also opened for the supply and delivery of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and Auxiliaries. The procuring entity is the Ministry of Natural Resources.
Under the Ministry of Public Security bids were opened for the procurement of printer ink. Ten bids were opened for this project.
Moreover, bids were also opened for the Construction of a Timber Wharf and Approach and floating raft for the Guyana Defence Force.
Six bids were opened for the supply and delivery of office supplies to the Guyana Energy Agency. The tender is split into four lots.
Additionally, bids were opened for the supply and delivery of office furniture for the Ministry of Public Health. There was only one bidder.
One bid was also opened for the procurement of office furniture for the Ministry of Natural Resources.
