Dear Editor,
I became a guest at one of the new, middle level hotels in the heart of the city on July 29th where guests are offered a free breakfast from 7:30 AM to 10 AM. On August 8th, 2017 when I tried to get breakfast I went to fill up my 12oz swell water bottle, when I was told by the serving staff manager that guests are only entitled to one glass of water and refused to serve me breakfast after I completed filling up my water bottle that I take with me to the office.
I am currently on assignment working in Guyana. Generally, guests line up around the pool from 7:30am expecting the dining room to be opened. However, the dining room typically opens at 7:50am. Furthermore, if there are 50 guests (as an example) breakfast is only prepared for 25 guests and you must accept the extremely meager servings because you are told it must last until 10am for the other guest who may want to have breakfast.
I would very much appreciate you interviewing me for an article or to take pictures while we are queued up by the pool for breakfast before I am transferred this weekend to Latin America. I am very surprised that an establishment such as this is attempting to get a certain type of license from the government of Guyana which has not been approved and should not be.
Pedro
