Bids were opened yesterday at the National Procurement and Tender Administration for the procurement of works for the construction of Rip Rap Sea Defence at sites in Regions Three and Five. This was done in three lots.
For lot one, the type of sea defence is to be constructed at Ruimzigt and Waller’s Delight on the West Coast of Demerara in Region Three, which are lots one and two respectively. Additionally, for lot three, the same type of sea defence is to be constructed at Cottage, Mahaicony, in Region Five. The procuring entity is the Ministry of Public Infrastructure.
Bids were also opened for the rehabilitation of the Berbice Educational Institute. The procuring entity is the Regional Democratic Council of Region Six under the Ministry of Communities.
Information Technology equipment is being sought for the Ministry of Finance as six bids for this purpose was opened yesterday.
Bids were also opened for the procurement of security and cash-in-transit services for the Guyana Water Incorporated. The procurement was split into five lots.
Bids were also opened for the construction of an immigration building and tract at Ordnance-Fortlands in Region Six.
The Teaching Service Commission (TSC) had tendered for the purchase of a new vehicle and three bids were opened yesterday.
Further, bids were opened for an individual consultant to review, evaluate and draft maritime legislation and policy for Guyana. This is being done under the Ministry of Public Infrastructure. Only one proposal was submitted for this project.
Bids were also opened for the design and supervision services for the Agriculture Centre at Ebini in Region 10. The procuring entity for this project is the Ministry of Agriculture. Financial proposals were submitted by the following bidders.
