BASSETERRE, St Kitts, CMC – Guyana defeated ICC Americas by 148 runs in their
opening round match in the one-day phase of the Regional Under-19 Championship at Verchilds here yesterday. Fresh from their 3-day triumph, Guyana led by Kevin Sinclair 82, Raymond Perez 58, Ronaldo Ali Mohammed 49 and Bhaskar Yadram who made 43 and took 4-24 saw them home to victory.
Scores: GUYANA 295 for seven off 50 overs (Kevin Sinclair 82, Raymond Perez 58, Ronaldo Ali Mohammed 49, Bhaskar Yadram 43; Gill Akashdeep 3-40).
ICC AMERICAS 147 for nine off 50 overs (Adhihetty Bhavindu 36; Bhaskar Yadram 4-24).
T&T beat Leewards by seven wickets
Trinidad and Tobago defeated Leeward Islands by seven wickets in the opening round of the one-day phase of the Regional Under-19 Championship at Molineaux.
Scores: LEEWARDS 122 off 39.2 overs (Uri Smith 33, Kadeem Henry 27; Avinash Mahabirsingh 3-12, Matthew Patrick 3-18).
T&T 124 for three off 21.5 overs (Leonardo Julien 41, Cephas Cooper 22, Kegan Simmons 22; Shacoy Floyd 2-24).

Windward Islands defeated Jamaica by seven wickets in their first round, one-day match in the Regional Under-19 Championship at Conaree.
