Residents and commuters of Diamond and Golden Grove, East Bank Demerara, two of the biggest housing schemes in the country, are calling on the authorities to move swiftly to repair the main access road to the area.
In recent months, the many holes have been adding to the backup of traffic at peak hours and to the further wear and tear of vehicles.
Many business persons and even a minister live in the area. A vast majority of the side streets, already narrow, are almost impassible, forcing residents to use other streets.
