Exciting action is anticipated tomorrow when Lake Mainstay Resort, Essequibo Coast, hosts its 17th Annual Regatta commencing at 11:00hrs.
Dubbed the ‘clash of the daredevils’, Neil Gonsalves and team from Pomeroon will battle Dave Scott and team from Bartica in 13 categories of powerboat racing.
The events include 3-15 HP-2 laps Male/female, 2-40HP-3 laps male/female, 3-90 HP-4 laps male/female, 2-200HP-5 laps male/female, 3-open HP-6 laps male/female, 1-200m male canoe, 1-200m female canoe, 1-200m- open swimming and a 90-HP category race in memory of Orin Bell.
There will be over $G3M in cash prizes and trophies to be won. Admission: Advance: Adults $1000, children $500, at the gate: Adults $1200, children $700. Gates open from 09:00hrs.
