The killer instinct which has been showcased by all Super 16 qualifying teams during their rounds one and two matches which resulted in them qualifying will be at an even higher level come tomorrow’s final day of the GTT Tapeball competition set for the National Park Tarmac from 09:00hrs.
However, there is still one team to make the Super 16 round that that spot will be fought for between two Georgetown Zone sides, Eccles All Stars and Queenstown Masjid ‘B’, this match was not able to be played on Sunday last when the Georgetown Zone was contested at the Cultural Center Tarmac.
The winner of this match will join the five others qualifiers from the City, PSI Legends, Ruimveldt Sports Club, GT Strikers, Outlaws and CJIA ‘B’.
They will be matched against the four East Coast Zone qualifiers, Doosan Vipers, Enmore Stars, Rising Star and Modern Media as well as the six from the West Dem./West Bank Zone; West De. 08, Invaders, Specialist, Rising Star ‘B’, South Side and Spartans.
Only one team will emerge the winner of this inaugural 7-player 5-a-side competition and that winner will walk away with $200,000 in cash along with 10 Caribbean Premier League Match Tickets.
The losing finalist will not walk away empty handed as they will be awarded $100,000 while the winner of the third place encounter will earn $50,000, the three top teams will also be awarded trophies. A trophy is also at stake for the Most Valuable Player.
Meanwhile, a female exhibition match between the ‘A’ and ‘B’ teams from 4R Lioness will be played during the course of the day’s action with each team set to receive 10 CPL Tickets each.
Fans are assured that they will not be left out of the action as lots of giveaways will be part of the day’s programme, while they will be able to top up their GTT phones apart from instruments being on sale also.
There will be free face painting for kids and adults.
Game time tomorrow is 09:00hrs.
