People does see other people different when that person do something out of de ordinary. If a man jump in front of a car and save a child, people gun see that person as a kind of hero. Even if de person who jump in front of de car is a junkie, people does see him different.
And dem boys want to know how come dem don’t see nuff woman junkie. Is like if is only man does smoke cocaine in Guyana.
Anyhow, a man is a prisoner once he stay in de prison when he get lock up or if he deh pun de road weeding or doing some prison wuk. But when he do something out of de ordinary, like getting away then is a different ball game.
This man get arrest fuh killing somebody and he been in prison waiting fuh he trial. De prison people claim that he was one of de baddest of de bad suh he get lef in a pasture. This man join wid some others and get a spade. Then he dig heself out of de jail.
Dem boys seh is one thing to be free, is another thing to be free and hungry. When you is an escaped prisoner people don’t want tek chance. Only Thursday a youth man get three years jail fuh harbouring an escaped prisoner.
This one get away and hungry was more than him so he go by he woman. Dem boys seh de woman see sheself changing place wid de man and decide that she freedom better than he own.
Life is a circle. De place wheh de man dig fuh get out of de jail is de same place wheh prisoners does mess. When de police corner this man he jump into a pit wheh people does mess. By de time de police tek him out he was full of mess.
Dem boys don’t know if de police bathe him yet but fuh sure he wasn’t smelling like a rose when dem ketch him.
Talk half and don’t mess wid freedom or you gun end up in mess.
