A relative of Marcus Brian Bisram who allegedly offered food to the 16-year-old witness in Faiyaz Narinedatt’s murder has reportedly fired a gunshot at the home of the teenager at Number 70 Village, Berbice Friday night.
The man, who is married to Bisram’s niece, threatened to kill the teen’s mother and “wipe out” her family around 22:30 hrs on Friday before discharging a round at the woman’s home. He went to the witness’s home in a car bearing registration number PRR 3623.
The woman had just returned home from visiting her son in the hospital where he was being treated for suspected poisoning.
“He went to the house and started cussing up the mother and telling she that he gone kill all of them one by one. He had a shotgun on he and fired a shot at her house,” a relative informed this newspaper yesterday.
The woman made a report to the Criminal Investigation Unit (CID) in Georgetown yesterday.
The 16-year-old is the individual who has been providing investigators with evidence against Marcus Brian Bisram, the alleged mastermind behind the carpenter’s murder, last year.
Reports are that the teen became sick three days after eating a meal from one of Bisram’s relatives in Berbice on Saturday.
The police were waiting additional information – which includes tests from the hospital – before they make an arrest.
Kaieteur News was informed that medical practitioners at the hospital are treating the young lad for poisoning. His health is said to be deteriorating.
At the hospital, the teen told this publication that before the murder of Narinedatt, he would usually go over to Bisram’s relatives’ home and hang out.
However, after the murder, he was no longer welcome there.
He said that to his surprise, two Saturdays ago, one of the suspect’s relatives invited him over and offered him some fried-rice and a glass with drink.
“Me was de only one eating and when I done, he (Bisram’s relative) tell me to get out and not to come back,” the young man recalled.
He said that as the days went by, he started feeling sick and was getting a severe fever.
On Tuesday, his condition became worse and he was rushed to the New Amsterdam Hospital before later being moved to a private hospital.
This newspaper was informed that whatever poisonous substance was given to the teenager has begun “eating out” his intestines.
An extradition hearing is currently ongoing in a United States of America court for Marcus Brian Bisram.
A wanted bulletin was issued here for his arrest after it was reported that he had allegedly ordered the murder of the carpenter after his sexual advances were rejected by Narinedatt.
Narinedatt’s death had been staged to look like a hit-and-run accident and two cops in Berbice were later fingered in the cover-up.
Harripaul Parsram, 49, Orlando Dickie, 39, Radesh Motie, 39, Diadath Datt, 18 and Niran Yacoob, 37, have been charged for the murder so far.
Additionally, three individuals, including Bisram’s mother, were charged for allegedly offering a detective $4M to suppress evidence against Bisram.
