Mr. Sattaur Gafoor, Executive Chairman
of Gafoors Industries Limited presenting the plaque to Mr. Bishwa Panday, Chief Executive Officer of P&P Insurance Brokers
P&P was recently recognized by the Gafoors Group of Companies for its excellent support and claims service following the two fires last year which gutted their premises and led to Guyana’s single largest ever fire claim.
At a specially arranged luncheon hosted by the Gafoors Group of Companies to recognize and thank the many persons and organizations that assisted in the aftermath of the two fires, Executive Chairman of Company – Mr. Sattaur Gafoor presented P&P with a Plaque in recognition of its efforts.
The Chairman acknowledged the good that financial institutions can do despite the conventional wisdom that often defames such institutions as socially useless.
Insurance companies are key contributors to human welfare and he was honoured to be a client of P and P Insurance, who stepped up to the plate during those harrowing times, he said.
Chief Executive Officer of P&P, Mr. Bishwa Panday, thanked Mr. Gafoor for the gesture.
He also expressed his gratitude to the Insurance Companies and the Loss Adjusters for their support during the negotiations and the ensuing settlements.
Mr. Panday said that it was quite challenging to have Guyana’s single largest ever fire claim followed shortly by another claim, but P&P met the challenges and was able to successfully negotiate both sets of claims to the satisfaction of the client.
