During the opening of tenders at the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board (NPTAB) yesterday, contractors vied for contracts to remodel and rehabilitate several police stations in and around the hinterland.
These projects fall under the Citizen Security Strengthening Programme (CSSP) of the Ministry of Public Security and are as follows:
The remodeling and rehabilitation of Police Stations at Annai and Aishalton:
The remodeling and rehabilitation of Police Stations at Port Kaituma, Mabaruma, Suddie, Aurora and Issano:
The remodeling and rehabilitation of Police Stations at La Grange, Cane Grove and Mibicuri:
Tenders were also open for the remodeling and rehabilitation of Police Stations at Kwakwani and McKenzie, Linden:
The Ministry of Business is the procuring entity for construction services for the Business Incubator Centre, Phase One:
The Regional Democratic Council (RDC) for Region Seven (Cuyuni/Mazaruni), is the procuring entity for the construction of a CT Scan Building at the Bartica Hospital Compound.
The Ministry of Public Security is the procuring entity for the procurement of equipment for the Guyana Police Force (GPF).
Finally, tenders were also open for the procurement of community policing uniforms:
