With swollen feet, 22-year-old Matthew Shivtahal spoke of how he walked for hours to find land after he was freed by the four prisoners who abducted him after they escaped from the Camp Street Prison on Sunday.
It was Bartica murder suspect, Mark Royden Williams, called “Smallie” who Shivtahal said gave him a second chance to live.
This was after the young man told him that he had a one-year-old son and begged Williams not to allow his child to grow up without a father.
The young man walked from the conservancy at Land of Canaan, East Bank Demerara (EBD) to Annandale backlands on the East Coast Demerara (ECD).
