A Triumph man is now in custody and awaiting a court date after he was arrested Monday at the Eugene F. Correia International Airport, Ogle, East Coast Demerara.
According to the Customs Anti Narcotic Unit (CANU), one of its ranks, stationed at the Eugene F Correia International Airport arrested a male scheduled to fly to Barbados.
The man, whose name was given as Eaion Kwesi Kaman Le Blanc, 35, was said to be from Ogle Street, Triumph, East Coast Demerara.
CANU said that the suspect was on Monday escorted to a city hospital, medically examined and up until yesterday midday, had excreted several suspected cocaine-filled pellets.
CANU said that the suspect will remain in custody amidst further investigations.
