Dear Editor,
Imagine reading this in the 21st century from a nation where you actually see more exotic cars per capita in developing world than anywhere else. The contractor for the road in Harmony WBD reported on the potholes ( KN, Monday, June 26) that the reason for such holes, merely after 3 years is a result of the farmers’ agri equipment – mainly tractors. Think about this for a second. Did this contractor ever think from a fraction of his mosquito brain (even if that amount exists) how these farmers will survive in this harsh economy if he decided to close the road completely .
Ontario, the largest city in Canada, has the busiest road in North America (Highway 401) yet they close it partially to do annual maintenance without complete shutdown – the Chase / King saga. We need 30 more days. Where in the world are they taking these studies – Timbuktu? Who are they studying and what are they studying? Is Bulkan leading them in that direction or he needs to be led? You already had 90 days and yet no solution. Today man can visit Mars in less than 40 days yet parking meter decision in Guyana needs 3 times that amount; boy are we heading to the hills . We may probably have to walk since they aren’t enough gas with the price now. Readers Digest suggests walking is good for longevity. So said Archie Bunker (All in the Family, popular sitcom of the 70s.
Flooding in Guyana – another disaster. Year over year and it doesn’t change; it’s like fixed asses – sorry assets. Don’t these misfits know May/ June rainy periods are well in excess of over 45 mm. In this case, we have to ensure drains and sluices are in prime shape. Flooding occurs and what you hear? It’s too much rain, 4 and 5 days. How many days did it rain when NOAH built the arc?. That was 2000 years ago and he knew what he had to do. How come after 2000 years we didn’t learn something. Talking about misfits.
