Dutch airline, Arubaanse Luchtvaart Maatschappij (ALM) has applied for licences to

According to Guyana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) in an advertisement in the Sunday’s edition of Kaieteur News, the flights would run daily.
“In accordance with the Civil Aviation (Licensing of Air Transport Service) Regulations 2001, the Guyana Civil Aviation Authority here advises that the following operator (ALM) has submitted an application for the operation of scheduled air services…”
The Oranjestad, Aruba airline is hoping to commence flights starting next month.
ALM is hoping to depart Aruba at 09:30hrs and 12:45hrs from Guyana daily.
“Members of the public may make representations and/or objections for the said application. Those making representations and/or objections shall state the specific grounds on which they are made and shall specify any desired conditions to be attached to the licence if granted.”
GCAA said that it is closing objections on July 5th, 2017.
Aruba, a tourist destination with duty free zones, had flights with Guyana, via Insel Air.
However, the airline was grounded earlier this year because of safety concerns.
Guyana, with a major expansion to the Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA) underway, has been aggressively lobbying new airlines to come to Guyana.
With the Ogle airport now cleared for regional flights, LIAT has been conducting operations from there.
